TEF-4 associates with the powerful transcriptional coactivator YAP65 to mediate mitogenic signals. In addition, TEF-4 promotes the activation of the CTP:phosphocholine cytidylyltransferase (CCT) alpha protein, which is the rate-limiting enzyme of phosphatidylcholine biosynthesis, by enhancing the transcriptional activity of Ets-1. Function: Transcription factor which plays a key role in the Hippo signaling pathway, a pathway involved in organ size control and tumor suppression by restricting proliferation and promoting apoptosis.
